Confidentiality and HIPPA Compliance
Confidentiality: Please note that as a rule, I will not disclose information about with other parties unless you give consent, however, there are exception to this rule. I may use or disclose records or other information about you without your consent or authorization in the following circumstances
Emergency Situations: In cases of life-threatening emergencies including but not limited to a reported plan to commit suicide, homicide or when you are a danger to self or others.
Suspicion of abuse, neglect or exploitation of a child, the elderly or an incapacitated adult. In these cases, I am required by Maryland and DC law to immediately make a report and provide relevant information to Child Protective Service or Adult Protective Services.

You are doing the best you can to manage and reaching out for support is a great step towards interrupting behavioral patterns that do not yield desired outcomes. I look forward to working with you as we explore your toolkit and add new skills that will help you regulate emotions, improve connections and decrease symptoms.
Education and Trainings: I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the Catholic University of America. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Transition to Independent Process (TIP). I am also a certified Grief Counseling Specialist.
